I thought having a job and something I was good at and doing for more than just the money would make me not hate myself. But I was pretty much wrong. No matter what its always there and I just don’t think this is going to pass like everyone says it will.

And with that realization and the recent events going on around me I’ve lost the last bit of faith I had in others.

Personally, I think you, yourself, are the number one person who has the key to 'not hate myself'. No one can make you love yourself, just as no one can make you hate yourself but you.

And believe me, it's a battle that will never completely leave you since it is so deeply ingrained as a part of you - at your best and at your worst. It may never pass, but it can be wrangled with, fought against, tolerated and contained. It's help with this internal struggle -- to serve as a anchors in the most absymal of personal storms -- that others can and should support you, whoever they may be. And to ask that of the people closest to you should be no great task for the people who care, allbeit, they'll probably do it in their own fashion. Best wishes.
